April 2, 2016:   Museum work day. May 12, 2016:   Program: “Wyoming, The Sheepherder State” with John Farr. June 3, 2016:   Friday, Museum opens for the 2016 summer season, 11AM. A admission is by donation. Open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11AM to 5PM. June:  The Museum opens for the summer season in the beginning of June (exact date can vary slightly from year to year). We are open:  June through mid-October on Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM. Admission is by donation.   June 5, 2016:   Archival Records Training Workshop. Presented by the Sublette County Historic Preservation Board (CLG) and Wyoming State Archives. September 17, 2016: Hardhats & Stetsons Cowboy Poetry & Dessert Auction  Saturday at the Boulder Community Center. Cowboy Poet Andy Nelson and singer Brenn Hill return. This event is a fundraiser for the Green River Valley Museum. Starting at 5:30PM. October 8, 2016: Tales of the Outlaw West  Hear tales of Butch Cassidy and other outlaws of the Old West as told by Tom O’Day and Bronco Nell (Ray and Jackie Maple). This program includes a PowerPoint presentation of photos and maps that bring these vivid outlaw tales of Wyoming to life. This is the Museum’s closing program for the season. 6:00PM. Mid-October:  Winter Closing Location:  Green River Valley Museum 206 N. Front St PO Box 12 Big Piney, Wyoming 83113 307-276-5343 For special tours, please call the Museum.
